Car Motion Blur

In this lesson, I show how to simulate the motion blur that is commonly achieved by panning a camera to match the motion of a moving object like a car or plane by using the Path Blur filter. That allows you to keep the subject still while the background is rendered with a nice motion blur. I'll also show how to spin the wheels on cars using Filter>Blur Gallery>Spin Blur, which could also be used to add motion to propellers on aircraft. In the process, we'll also get into ideas that allow you to create much more refined results including: preventing edge blur on subjects, realistic blurring on the edges of the document, and how to work with areas that should contain a combination of still and moving objects.Note: An image used in this lesson was submitted by a Masters Academy member, but it was later discovered that the copyright was owned by another photographer. Both the lesson video and the handbook have been modified to remove the image. The image was taken by Jonathan Henchman of Fireproof Creative and can be seen on his Flickr account here: https://flic.kr/p/vnEC2y The owners of Masters Academy would never knowing use someone else's photography without first obtaining approval. The image in question was not tagged with any copyright information and the file name hints that it was most likely a screen shot.
