I just uploaded a seven page article that reviews your choices for removing the background on complex images. In the article, I review the different plug-in’s you can purchase as well as two of Photoshop’s built-in features. You can download the article for free here.
How can I download the extraction article. Doesn’t seem to be a link in your newsletter
If you’re on Windows, then right-click and choose Save Target As. Then double-click on the file once it’s done downloading.
Ben, It still looks like a broken link. The “Save target as…” downloads a 10kb HTML document that brings us straight back to this page. (You did not say *where* to right-click so I assumed you meant on the TrackBack URL for this entry was where you intended.) That’s the only link I see.
I’m really eager to see this article as I’ve been frustrated with the extraction tool.

Right-click on the link that is part of the text of the ‘story’. In this case it’s the link that is the last word of the story and is marked ‘here’. If that doesn’t work, then visit http://www.digitalmastery.com/companionsite/magazine where you should find the article in a list amoung older articles. The link is not broken at all… I can download the article on both mac and windows… it’s just a standard thing that needs to be done on windows to download certain file formats.

Hey, How about fixing the link instead of writing a paragragh about it. The URL you posted is shit also?
Terry,
We completely re-designed my other web site, which caused the link to become broken. The previous comments where made before that happened.
I’ve updated the link, so it should now bring you to the page where you can download it.
Sorry for the problems.
