I checked out the Carmel Mission today. The best light for this area is right around sunrise since the front of the mission is in the shade in the evening. The only problem is that they don’t open the gate until sometime after 9am and by then all the warm light is gone. That means that you’ll end up shooting over the walls from the parking lot.

I grew up in Santa Clara, Californiaa and spent several years in the Big Sur area.
Seeing the falls at Julia Pfeiffer (I have a very similar photo in my bag) really brought back some magic memories, but now I am in Florida. Southwest Florida… Fort Myers, Bonita Springs and was wondering if your ‘tour’ will be coming this way.
I recently acquired CS2, and while I feel both confident and comfortable with my beloved Photoshop, I know there is always a new twist or trick or technique out there.
