Go check out a version of Van Gogh’s Starry Night that is created by combining over 210,000 color photographs. They it to a 1.5 Gigapixel image. When you stop by, be sure to click the plus sign quite a few times until you can see the individual photos that make up the image and then you can scroll around to see what the image is really made from. Once you’re done, click the Andrea Mosaic link in the upper right to find out about the free software that was used to make the image.
ben, i am on a mac g5 and it says that this site is forbidden. how do I get to see it? any ideas?
I’m on a G4 PowerBook and can access the image and zoom in and pan around with no problems. I’m using the Safari browser… so I don’t know what’s preventing you from accessing it.
