If you find today’s digital cameras to be just too darn expensive, then go retro by constructing a film camera made out of paper! This pinhole camera can be printed on your laser or ink jet printer, cut, folded and glued together. It first appeared in a magazine in Communist Czechoslovakia back in 1979, but now can be found on this web site complete with an English translation of the step-by-step instructions!
We built two of these this weekend. I printed out the instructions on my inkjet, then spray glued them to black construction paper. Hopefully, this week, we’ll be able to pick up velvet and a small pin and give it a go.
It took three to four hours to assemble this camera.
